"I'm not teaching you how to move your feet;
I'm teaching you how to move your mind."
- Morihei Ueshiba, Founder of Aikido
Peachtree Aikido Atlanta is a traditional dojo (training hall), dedicated to the preservation and instruction of Aikido and Iaido. The diversity of our student body is profound, in terms of ethnicity, profession, age, gender identification, sexual orientation, and more. Every student brings intrinsic value to our community, and we celebrate the opportunity to learn and grow together.
Peachtree Aikido focuses on rigorous training in a collegial atmosphere without competition, and experts from around the world regularly visit Peachtree Aikido to teach and grow the practice of Aikido. Aikido is available all over the world, and Peachtree students are welcomed in Aikido schools whenever and wherever their travels take them. Peachtree Aikido Atlanta is affiliated with the United States Aikido Federation and the International Aikido Federation under the late Yamada Sensei and, in memorium, the late Mitsunari Kanai Sensei.
